The 789th annual URS celebrations of Hadhrat
Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer got underway on Tuesday which has been
attended by about 2.5 lakh devotees. The Urs rituals started after the morning
prayers. Thousands of pilgrims had been waiting for the opening of the Jannati Darwaza which is opened on four
occasions in a year. During the Urs which lasts for six days, the devotees
recite the Holy Quran and pray.
