Al Qaida Affiliate Ahmad Shara alias Al Jolani Head of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s True Face Exposed In Syria

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham toppled Assad with help from Turkey, Israel and the US. ---- Al Qaida's break away faction Hayat Tahrir al-Sham toppled Bashar al Assad's government and ascended to power in Syria on December 8, 2024. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is a Sunni terrorist organisation headed by Ahmad Shara alias Al Jolani. He assumed the name Al Jolani to underline his association with Al Jolan in Syria. According to a former Al Qaida member Kamran Faridi, Al Jolani is a ruthless and cunning man who got many non-Syrian Al Qaida men killed to ascend to power. HTS was designated by the US as a terrorist organisation and it had declared a 10 billion dollar reward on Al Jolani's head. After forming his government with the help of Turkey, Israel and the US, Al Jolani had promised to honour and protect the religious and human rights of the religious and ethnic minorities of Syria but soon his government started showing its true ideological and sectarian face. On Friday 24 January, HTS fighters attacked a number of villages in Shia majority Homs province and killed 13 Shias. They destroyed tombstones and detained dozens of Shia men. That was not enough. The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham fighters forced some Shias to bark and bray. Al Jolani's men have unleashed a reign of terror in the areas of Shias and other ethnic minorities like Kurds, Christians and Yazidis since January. In the name of running a campaign against the supporters and sympathisers of Assad government, the HTS has been haunting Shias and torturing, killing and detaining them. Dozens have been killed for refusing to remove religious references or signs. Earlier on January 23, 4 people were arrested in Al Kanisa village. The UK based, SOHR (Syrian Observatory on Human Rights) said that since January, the HTS had carried out 83 attacks on Shias and other minorities and killed 166 people. It amounts to average three attacks and three killings per day. This is contradictory to the promise of the HTS that it will not target Shias and other religious minorities. Thousands of Shias of Syria have fled to Lebanon for the fear of violence and torture by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The HTS has created Shia-Sunni tensions in many villages of Syria. Recently, Al Jolani announced that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham forces would be trained according to the principles of the Sharia. This is another gimmick by this terror organisation. To the Sunni terrorist organisations, Shias, Kurds, Christians and Yazidis are kafir and therefore do not have the right to live. The fighters of such a force will not have sympathy for minorities. The predecessors of the HTS, the ISIS also followed the same ideology and killed hundreds of thousands of Shias during their so-called caliphate from 2014 to 2019. The terrorists of Al Qaida and ISIS have now joined HTS and follow the same sectarian and exclusivist ideology propagated by Syed Qutb and Ibn Taymiyya. The ISIS killed thousands of Shias and Yazidis in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan in the last ten years. With their ascent in Syria now, they have targeted the Shias of Syria. The gimmick of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham of training its forces according to the Islamic Shariah is aimed at winning the support of the Sunni fraternity, particularly, the extremist Sunni ulema like Dr Zakir Naik and cover the US- Zionist agenda of destroying the Islamic countries. Earlier, the extremist Sunni ulema of Egypt, India and Pakistan supported and issued fatwas in favour of the ISIS after it occupied a large part of Iraq and Syria and established its so -called caliphate in Mosul. It made Muslim and non-Muslim women slaves. The HTS has adopted the same strategy of using Shariah to win the sympathy of Sunni ulema, journalists and pseudo-intellectuals to fulfil the zionist agenda. The idea of jihad against the imperialist countries and the establishment of a caliphate in Islamic countries has been used as useful and effective political tools by the imperialist forces against the Islamic countries. The US and Israel have given birth to jihadi organisations like the Al Qaida, the ISIS, Al Nusrah, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, Taliban and now HTS in Asian and African countries and funded and trained them. These organisations espouse local or Islamic causes to gain support of the gullible Muslim youth and extremist Islamic clerics with little knowledge and insight of world politics. The Sunni Muslim countries have also fell in this trap as the US creates the fear of Iran and Syria among the rulers of the Sunni countries which compels them support and fund these Sunni terrorist organisations. Using this strategy, the US and Israel succeeded in bringing the ISIS to power in Mosul in 2014, bringing Taliban to power in Afghanistan in 1996 and 2021 and bringing the HTS to power in Syria in 2024. With the help of these terrorist organisations, the US and Israel have achieved their military goals without using their traditional army. The US has been able to easily destroy and bring about regime change in Islamic countries because of the support of the Islamic clerics to the terrorist and extremist organisations in the name of jihad against Shias or for the establishment of caliphate. As long as the ulema will support the extremist and terrorist organisations in the name of jihad and caliphate, the US and Israel will continue to ruin and destroy Islamic countries.
